- About the Brand
It’s not by chance that Giuliano Mazzuoli became interested in the world of watchmaking. This world was already present in his DNA. Lisandro Mazzuoli, his ancestor worked in fact an old artisanal factory owned by the Pistelli family that built tower clocks and here he learned everything he could.
For years Giuliano Mazzuoli dreamt of making an original and recognizable watch. He started an intense process of research but all of a sudden, he stopped and decided not to be influenced by the work of others and he started to observe. He knew that the idea would come to him.
He looked at a pressure gauge of an old air compressor in his typography shop and it was clear to him right away that he had found his watch. He understood that one should not look for design. He had had the confirmation that inspiration finds you if you approach it with the right spirit.
The pressure gauge (Manometro in Italian) is an instrument that reflects simplicity and it was designed for its function of measuring the pressure of air and water and not for its aesthetic aspect. Twenty-four hours later he was wearing a non-functioning prototype that was faithful to the instrument that inspired it transforming it into an instrument that measured time. The more he wore the prototype of the watch the more he attracted the attention of people, who began to enthusiastically grab his wrist asking him to show it to them, he knew he had found the watch that he aspired to make.
The popularity and the fame of his iconic watch continues to grow among a public with an eye for design and an appreciation for style.
