Ulysse Nardin InnoVision 2 Named Watch of the Year

May 25, 2017

Esteemed Romanian watch magazine Temporis hosted the sixth annual Temporis Gala Awards last week at the Athénée Palace Hilton in Bucharest gathering VIP guests, journalists and watch aficionados.

Ulysse Nardin was awarded twice during the ceremony. The Swiss watchmaker received the “Watch of the Year 2017” prize for InnoVision 2. Constant pursuit of innovation and avant-garde is one of the foundations of Ulysse Nardin. Continuing this course, the current research and development team’s comprehensive expertise and ingenuity is captured in the InnoVision 2.

In 2007, Ulysse Nardin made a huge splash with Innovision 1. It included 10 entirely new features that would set the standard for innovative watchmaking in the following decade. Now, in 2017, InnoVision 2 aims to do the same. With ten phenomenally inventive features, InnoVision 2 once again inspires the watchmaking industry for the coming decade, proving Ulysse Nardin as a perpetual pioneer in ti-mekeeping innovation.

Ulysse Nardin also won the prize for “Best Holidays Man’s Watch 2017“ for the Marine Regatta, a patented regatta chronograph equipped with a sweep countdown timer that can be set from 1 to 10 minutes. In a regatta, victory comes down to those crucial minutes before the starting gun goes off when boats are maneuvering to cross the starting line with optimal positioning and perfect timing. Following the countdown, the bi-directional seconds hand starts moving in a clockwise direction and begins timing the race. Clear, intuitive and accurate functionality from Ulysse Nardin, with the support of Artemis Racing, the company’s official partner for the 35th America’s Cup.
