Introducing the Fabergé Flirt

Fabergé has created a new collection of timepieces that combine technical excellence with a classical style reinvented. Designed especially and exclusively for women, the timepieces in the Fabergé Flirt collection boast perfect manufacturing quality, refinement and authenticity.

Surprising, authentic and unexpected, the first watches in the new Fabergé Flirt collection are for those who dare to be different. They contain everything that lovers of fine watchmaking would expect from a high-quality mechanical timepiece. Inspired by original shapes imagined by Peter Carl Fabergé himself, the design showcases an unusual element: a ring contained at the heart of the case.

In the same vein, the dial of certain models is divided into two superimposed elements. These two characteristics open up infinite creative possibilities that Fabergé is only just beginning to explore. The domed shape of the sapphire crystal also provides a link with all other Fabergé timepieces. Every timepiece, therefore, offers ample room for creative expressions of the world of Fabergé.

A Question of Style: The subtlety of the Fabergé Flirt models lies in the balanced and perfectly calibrated proportions of their case. Specially created to complement the wrist, their dimensions are in perfect harmony with the strap. The powerful lines of the case structure create a subtle tension that gives the timepiece a unique personality. This fluid and flexible architecture is the result of a total mastery of the traditional codes of watch design. The lugs are particularly slender in tribute to the first women’s watches designed by Peter Carl Fabergé – an aesthetic choice that enhances the beauty of the watch on the wrist. In a unique feature, each case houses a ring made of a different material or featuring a different finish from the case itself. Playful and original, it paves the way for multiple variations of color and structure. By combining a variety of materials, Fabergé also reveals its technical mastery and desire to experiment with new ideas. On the side, the crown reproduces a decorative note once seen on Fabergé cigarette cases. It is always graced with a moonstone.

On the inside, the dial or face of the watch is based on one of two main design families. In the traditional version, the dial is adorned with hour­ markers and indications. The latter echoes the form of the crown to better reflect light. The contemporary version plays on two levels. A subdial serves as the basis for a broad skeletonized applique that echoes the original design, while the Roman numerals appear to be deep-set within the watch, just like the heart of the dial itself. Ornamental versions are also available. These models feature hand-guilloche decorations and are covered with translucent grand feu enamel.

The hours and minutes hands are inspired by the “Breguet” design. The difference is that the eye is shaped like an egg in tribute to Fabergé’s legendary Egg Objets.

The models of the Fabergé Flirt collection are all equipped with self-winding Manufacture movements. Designed, manufactured and assembled in traditional fashion, they are the fruit of the expertise that is unique to Swiss watchmakers. In the same spirit, each component is worked to ensure the greatest possible brilliance. All are decorated with motifs based on objects produced by Peter Carl Fabergé himself.

The Heart of the Manufacture: The calibers are self-winding and make use of an oscillating weight decorated in the Fabergé style. To highlight the precious and rare character of this movement, it is produced in 22-carat gold. The movements equipping the Fabergé Flirt collection are thus all distinguished by haute horlogerie features.
