Chronoswiss has managed to capture the aurora borealis using the latest technology and traditional craftsmanship and bring it to the wrist.

The non-conformist watchmaker from Lucerne is the only brand with color-changing, handmade Guilloché dials. For this purpose, the advanced technique of “Chemical Vapor Deposition” is used. It creates unique metallic coatings that come to life depending on the incidence of light. To create the color change reminiscent of the polar lights, the dial was hand-cut on a century old Guilloché machine.

In addition to the color change and hand Guilloché, the 3-dimensional regulator construction with a retrograde second and exposed mechanics make the newest member of the ReSec family unique in the world of watchmaking.

The timepiece embodies the motto “Modern Mechanical” in its purest form and is aimed at people who have the courage to leave the beaten ways to explore their own paths. The Aurora combines progressive design with the brand’s classic style elements, such as the fluted bezel, onion crown and straight lugs.

The massive Super-LumiNova ceramic blocks shine bright and bring light to the darkness of icy polar nights.

Like all ReSec models, the Aurora is limited to only 50 watches worldwide
