By incorporating a genuine meteorite dial, Bell & Ross transforms the steel BR-X5 into a dual-purpose object—both a highly technical instrument and a unique geological collector’s piece.

The dial of the BR-X5 Meteorite is crafted from Muonionalusta meteorite, an iron meteorite discovered in 1906 in the Norrbotten region of northern Sweden. Estimated to be approximately 4.5 billion years old—virtually as old as the solar system itself—this meteorite fell to Earth around 1 million years ago before remaining preserved for millennia beneath Scandinavian permafrost. Once cut and treated, it reveals the famous Widmanstätten pattern: a natural crystalline structure formed by an intricate network of fine, organic lines created through an extraordinarily slow cooling process over millions of years in the vacuum of space. This structure cannot be artificially reproduced. As a result, every fragment is unique, making each BR-X5 Meteorite dial one of a kind. Across the 250 watches in this limited edition, no two dials are identical. Each bears its own mineral signature, shaped by the universe itself long before the Earth existed

Powering the BR-X5 Meteorite is  the BR-CAL.323 manufacture caliber, produced exclusively for Bell & Ross and COSC-certified. It offers approximately 70 hours of power reserve, a large date display, and is backed by a five-year warranty.
