The name VOX TEMPORIS, meaning “The Voice of the the Time” in Latin, perfectly expresses this
philosophy: time is not simply read, but heard and experienced.

The Vox Temporis features an audacious rotating dial with a refined flinqué soleil decoration and a translucent varnish finish. The dial rotates beneath a fixed arrow-shaped hour hand. Rhodium-plated and engraved by hand, the hour hand creates an unconventional and contemporary display of time.

At the heart of the Vox Temporis is the L.Leroy L601SQR proprietary manual-winding calibre, combining a minute repeater with a flying tourbillon.

The minute repeater mechanism is activated on demand via the slide positioned between 8:30 and 9:30. Once activated, the time is indicated audibly through two gongs struck by two hammers. The hours, quarters and minutes are distinguished by different tones.

This unusual aesthetic is directly inspired by a historic LEROY tact watch created in 1810 for the Prince of Hesse. That extraordinary timepiece allowed the hours and half-hours to be read discreetly by touch, thanks to diamonds and pearls arranged around the case, an innovation that offered both practicality and refined discretion in an era preceding electric lighting.
