The Freak needs no introduction. Defined by its flying carousel architecture, the movement itself tells the time: the rotating carousel completes one revolution every 60 minutes to indicate the minutes, while the hours are displayed via a pointer on a rotating disc. The carousel is described as “flying” because it operates without an upper bridge. Fully suspended and entirely visible.

Unlike previous generations of the Freak [X], which relied on a modular titanium architecture, the new model is built around a monobloc case crafted from 80% recycled steel or full rose gold. This redesigned architecture improves structural rigidity while optimizing acoustic stability.

The new caliber Un-232 is more compact than its predecessor, allowing the watch to be housed in a redesigned 41 mm case (reduced from 43 mm) with a new glass box sapphire crystal. 

With the new Freak [X], Ulysse Nardin introduces a quick release interchangeable strap system, allowing the wearer to change straps easily and independently, without the need for tools or assistance. Available in nine different configurations, including metal bracelets, rubber straps, and leather options, the system brings greater versatility to the collection across formal, contemporary, and sporty settings.
