The Tonda PF Minute Rattrapante is reinterpreted with an Arctic Rose dial. In the eighteenth century, rose was a color worn by men, a symbol of refinement and distinction. It was only in the second half of the twentieth century that it became associated with the feminine.
The Tonda PF Minute Rattrapante has two superimposed minute hands, invisible to one another until activated. Three pushers orchestrate the function: one at 10 o’clock to add a minute, another at 8 o’clock to add five, and the crown to reset. The rhodium-plated hand indicates the real time. The rose gold hand marks the chosen interval. When the two hands meet again, the granted time has elapsed. A measurement of time on demand.
The Minute Rattrapante Arctic rose with the Grain d’Orge guilloche, plays with the light, lending the dial depth and movement. The hand knurled platinum bezel is discreet and subtle, it captures the reflections through micro-facets. The case and bracelet are seamlessly integrated, with hand-polished and satin-brushed finishes that rests naturally on the wrist.
The PF052 calibre automatic movement integrates the world’s first Minute Rattrapante function within a remarkably slender architecture of just 4.9 mm.
