The Antarctique S Ice Cloud dial evokes polar skies through a rare decorative technique known as nacre brouillée, or scattered mother-of-pearl.

Polished white nacre is thinned to 0.2 mm, then hand‑applied with tinted varnish using a horsehair brush. Each application creates unique, cloud‑like patterns, enhanced by cool blue tones and the nacre’s natural depth and luminosity. After decoration, the dial is oven‑cured to permanently fix the pattern, making the process irreversible. The result reflects the delicate balance between fragility and precision that defines high craftsmanship.  Only one specialist at GT Cadrans masters this technique. As a result, the Antarctique S Ice Cloud is limited to just ten pieces, each a unique expression of artisanal skill and natural unpredictability.

The in‑house SXH5 automatic caliber features an off‑center microrotor for an unobstructed view of its architecture. A free‑sprung balance with four gold weights ensures precise regulation, while seven skeletonized bridges—lace‑inspired and finely finished—blend traditional haute horlogerie with modern laser engraving.
