The UltraFino Sapphire defies convention with its 9.8 mm thin case. The sapphire’s hardness and scratch resistance are complemented by a white rubber joint that ensures an exceptional 5 ATM water resistance, a rare feat for a sapphire watch.  ​

Machining a curved tonneau case in sapphire is among the most demanding challenges in watchmaking. The crystal must be shaped with micron-level precision, and the 1.2 mm curvature adds complexity that makes reducing overall thickness exponentially harder.

Achieving a case under 10 mm in height required not only perfecting the sapphire machining process, but also creating an exceptionally slim movement, without compromising resilience and precision.

The B1.618 UltraFino refines the concept of ultra-thin mechanical watchmaking, where precision engineering and structural efficiency converge in a timepiece designed for uninterrupted wear.

At its core lies Bianchet’s in-house movement, measuring just 3.85mm thick—the result of reimagining traditional watchmaking to achieve both thinness and performance. The flying tourbillon, paired with a golden rotor, enhances the movement’s efficiency while preserving a sense of depth and lightness. 

With shock resistance up to 5000G and water resistance of 5ATM. The 9.8mm-thick case, in Sapphire, offers strength without excess weight. Designed to be worn effortlessly, the B1.618 Flying Tourbillon UltraFino embodies technical sophistication and refined practicality.

The UltraFino Sapphire is fitted with a white natural vulcanized rubber strap, secured by a grade 5 titanium folding buckle. A second strap in black natural vulcanized rubber offers versatility, bringing a bolder contrast and allowing for seasonal interchangeability.
