The new anniversary creation, name “La Placide” is drawn from Mr. Roger Dubuis’ childhood nickname and retained throughout his whole life. A symbol of his calm strength and quiet wisdom that was part of his personality and marked his devotion to watchmaking excellence. It reflects calm, strength and precision that defined his personality and art. Today, his name is given to this timepiece as a heartfelt homage to his legacy.

The automatic RD1472 calibre is the beating heart of Hommage La Placide. For the second time since the creation of the Maison, the RD14 calibre and RD72 module are combined. The movement is constructed with a newly made pink gold rotor, 307 components and decorated with more than 15 traditional finishes. Reimagined to meet the actual Poinçon de Genève standards, the calibre reflects the vision Mr. Roger Dubuis’ has since the beginning.
