Building on the minimalist principles and proven technology of the TYPE 8, the TYPE 9 revisits its codes, refining both its size and horological details. The TYPE 9 is graphically stripped down to its essence, indicating only hours and minutes. A subtle difference lies in the disc indications, with the Hour disc featuring just the numbers 9 and 3. The bezel takes it a step further by marking every 5 minutes, making the dial bolder in its simplicity, yet refined to its core. 

Housed in a reimagined polished titanium case, the heart of this creation is the ROCS 9 module (the Ressence Orbital Convex System (ROCS) display, whereby the dial itself comprises rotating discs set into the same plane ). For the first time in a Ressence, the Minute indicator is placed outside the dial, with a fixed bezel featuring engraved indexes.  “The TYPE 9 is the smallest watch we can produce to this day, considering the size of the components” says Benoît Mintiens, Founder of Ressence. “From a distance, it looks very classical, but up close, it reveals itself as much more sophisticated. The TYPE 9 introduces more traditional horological finishes, including titanium-circled details, fluid lugs that integrate smoothly with a sleek 20/18mm strap, and a bezel that serves as the Minute indicator. By reducing the diameter to 39 mm, Ressence has created a watch that is perfectly suited to slim wrists, while weighing just 39 grams, including the strap.
