The compact 37 ARABIC Tremblage BENU exhibits harmoniously balanced proportions, hand-engraved from German silver using historical techniques to create a special form of tremblage.
Thanks to the surface treatment, the German silver alloy produces a silver-like hue with an aesthetic vintage look. The three-dimensional appearance of the dial underscores the effect: The numerals of the hours and circular small seconds rise above the surface, as does the historic “M. Grossmann” logo from 1875, which goes back to Moritz Grossmann. These are not mounted appliqués. The base of the dial has been cut out and removed so that the logo, numerals and seconds circle remain. A task that also requires meticulous care to create clean edges. After this the dial undergoes the painstaking tremblage process. A single dial can take an engraver several days to complete. The result is exquisite!
The hands are annealed to a signature brown-violet hue. Their rhomboid shape, even in the smaller format, reveals the typical hallmarks of the BENU series. Through the display back, the watch enthusiast can admire the balanced composition of the caliber 102.1 featuring the High-Artistic finish.
