The Promenade Midnight Pearl evokes the depth of a star‑filled night sky. Developed with GT Cadrans, its deep blue dial features subtle iridescence and a shifting, constellation‑like sparkle that lends the watch a calm, contemplative presence.
This effect is achieved through a patented layered construction combining Tahitian mother‑of‑pearl and blue aventurine glass. Thinned to a total of just 0.4 mm, the two layers interact with light to create exceptional visual richness despite their extreme delicacy.
Assembling the dial demands precise machining and careful handwork, particularly when cutting marker apertures and milling the small‑seconds subdial without damaging the nacre beneath. The fragility of the aventurine further limits production, making each dial within the 38‑piece series unique in pattern and shimmer—no two are exactly alike.
The automatic Calibre SXH5 is immediately recognisable by the seven skeletonised bridges – inspired by the 19th-century pocket watches of François Czapek – the movement plates and bridges feature fine haute horlogerie finishes. Beating at 4Hz (28,800 vph) and wound by a micro rotor with a mass of 100% recycled platinum, SXH5 offers 60 hours of power reserve.
