Czapek created Calibre SXH7 movement of the Antarctique Révélation rather than simply skeletonizing its existing SXH5 movement.

    • Czapek effectively turned the movement architecture inside out, requiring a complete re-engineering rather than a simple modification. The escapement was reversed so it could be seen from the dial side of the watch. The stop-seconds (hacking) mechanism was also moved into view, allowing the wearer to observe its operation while setting the time.
    • Because the movement’s mechanics were now intended to be displayed, the main plate was extensively skeletonized, creating the visual illusion of multiple bridges and preserving the architectural character of SXH5.
    • The central seconds display was no longer feasible due to the new structure, so Czapek introduced a small-seconds subdial positioned at 4:30. To maximize transparency, the small-seconds display is printed on a smoked sapphire crystal subdial.
    • Since the oscillating mass (rotor) is visible from both the front and back of the watch, it received full engraving and decorative finishing on both sides.
      • In essence, the Antarctique Révélation is not merely an open-worked version of an existing movement; it is a fundamentally re-engineered calibre designed to showcase its mechanical components as part of the watch’s visual experience.
